Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday set an stop to all speculation on the world-wide-web soon after he hinted at offering up his social media accounts.

PM Modi will give away all his social media accounts to women of all ages on March 8 for a working day on account of Worldwide Women’s Working day.

“This Women’s Working day, I will give away my social media accounts to women of all ages whose lifestyle & perform encourage us. This will help them ignite motivation in million,” Modi said in his twitter post.

PM Modi appealed to women of all ages to share their inspiring stories with the hashtag #SheInspiresUs.

In a Twitter post at about nine pm, Modi said: “This Sunday, thinking of offering up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube. Will maintain you all posted.”

Pursuing the post, #NoSir grew to become the amount one trending hashtag on Twitter.

The post garnered 1000’s of likes and retweets in minutes. Union Ministers Smriti Irani, Hardeep Puri and Anurag Thakur and BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya have been among these who retweeted Modi’s shock tweet to exit social media platforms.
